Episode 194

The Thing I Like, Menstrual Synchrony & John Parrott's Birthday BBQ

Show broadcast on 18 November 2017

You shouldn't keep nostalgic memories in a bin bag. Elis James is full of these wisdoms. Considering the long stint on drive this week, the lads put in a quallo shift - leaving nothing unsaid: Including 'I love you.' Twice. There was a brilliant Made Up Game, a lovely couple of emails and an unfortunate festival-based shame. There was a paper review too, but John was right to question whether or not it was strictly light-hearted.

John's introduction of Elis

"To my left a man who may be more familiar to you as the sidekick in S4C's Welsh language version of Open All Hours playing Granville in Siop o Bethau (Shop of Things). The first episode aired last week and saw Granville keep the peace with locals after a controversial decision to import the first electric toothbrush. "

Conversations and riffs

Some listeners have done video and audio mash-ups of Elis and John singing Taylor Swift lyrics (from last week's show) mixed with the actual songs.

Elis James' Light-Hearted Paper Review

Elis' selection of humorous stories from this week's newspapers.

A time when men were small. Britain's most married man. Fiona Phillips has 'ad' enough of internet adverts. Eating food too quickly can make you overweight. Prince William likes cooking but isn't very good at it.

John's Shame Well

John frees another listener of their shame.

Accidentally weeing into a man's bin bag and causing him to unwittingly eat a wee sandwich.

Made-Up Games

Listeners suggest made-up games that Elis and John can play.

The Thing I Like: Pick a subject, place, thing or person and you each go back and forth saying things you like about it. The first one to hesitate, give an inaccurate fact or fail to come up with something they like loses the round.
