Bleeding gums, Humble Shame and How to say 'No'

Show broadcast on 29 April 2017

Hey Daddio... How about you kick back and take a big hit of this podcast right in the ears? Make your own choices folks but for God's sake give it a listen. In this week's edition, the shame is tangible, the humble brags are disgusting and Queen are still the Best of British. There's also a comprehensive review of the Marathon-Watching experience. 'A great day out.'

John's introduction of Elis

"To my left it's the doyenne of Denbyshire, the prince regent of Penrith."

Conversations and riffs

Elis has a new pair of cords and John has decided he doesn't need to wash his jeans as much as he does. He is also worried that his DNA is rejecting alcohol after his food poisoning experience last week. He has a kiss of appetite and bleeding gums - by at least he would be a cheap date. Is it the hand of God on his shoulder indicating that it is finally time for him to do what he was put on this earth to do?

John went to watch Prod D in the London Marathon as well as cheering on the other runners. Afterwards, Dave went to the pub and maximum shunted.

Elis and John trial some of the 50 suggested ways to 'refuse to use' the 'erb (pot, hashish, Benson & Hendrix). John suggests it should be on the To Don't List.

Elis James' Light-Hearted Paper Review

Elis' selection of humorous stories from this week's newspapers.

Slow broadband because of a dispute with an Earl. The best way to serve humus is in a shallow bowl. Trendy jeans with pretend mud smeared on them.

John's Shame Well

John frees another listener of their shame.

Awkward attempts at small talk and banter in a new workplace that went wrong.

Betabet

Elis and John compete to name as many things as possible on a theme in alphabetical order in 30 seconds.

Premier League players who have made more than 300 appearances. Unbelievably, John wins 1-0 after Elis has an even worse performance than John.

The 'Keep It Session' Sessions

A special section at the end of the podcast for music recommendations.

Elis has found a brand new band called Girl Ray.
